Darebin’s Solar Saver program

Calling all Darebin residents – the Solar Saver program is for you!

Our friends at Darebin City Council are as committed to climate action as we are, and their Solar Saver program is a great way to reduce your energy bills and greenhouse gas emissions.

The Solar Saver program helps homeowners and renters who might otherwise find it difficult to install solar power in their homes. Council covers the upfront costs (up to $6,000) to install solar, the owner of the property will pay this back, interest free and with no GST over 10 years.
The program provides access to a premium solar installer, EnviroGroup, at a competitive price. They have over 19 years of experience in the installation of solar PV systems and use Clean Energy Council approved A-grade electricians on every installation.
Council has negotiated a 10-year warranty for parts and installation and a 25-year performance warranty on panels. To be eligible for the program, you must live in Darebin and satisfy an eligibility criteria.

If you do not meet the eligibility criteria but still wants to install solar with Council’s trusted supplier, the Bulk Buy program is open to all Darebin residents, businesses and other organisations, and can be used for systems up to 100kW. You pay the cost up front and have access to our selected supplier at our rates. You may also be eligible for the Solar Victoria rebate and interest free loan.
