Information About Your Dental Imaging Reports

As part of changes to the Australian My Health Record system effective 1 July 2026, all pathology and medical imaging reports are required to be uploaded to My Health Record by default.

At present, the specialist radiology service used by this practice has been granted an approved extension that delays the automatic upload of certain dental imaging reports to My Health Record until 31 December 2026.

What this means for you:
• Your dental imaging examinations (such as OPGs, Cone Beam CT scans and cephalometric X-rays) will continue to be interpreted and reported by our specialist radiology provider.
• Reports will continue to be sent securely and directly to your dentist within normal clinical timeframes.
• These reports will not currently be uploaded automatically to your My Health Record.
• Your dentist will discuss your imaging results with you as part of your ongoing care.

This arrangement is temporary and is in place under an approved extension granted to our radiology reporting provider.
