Community Health Child Speech Pathology
Our community health speech pathologists work with children who are 6 and under, and not yet in school. They support children with short-term therapy for mild-to-moderate speech and language needs. This is usually children who need support mainly in only one area of development. Children who are waiting for or receiving supports through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) are not eligible for this service.

NDIS funded Child Speech Pathology
Our speech pathologists work with NDIS-funded children who are 9 years old and under. If your child has NDIS funding, please Contact us.
We support children who are:
- having difficulties following instructions
- not using words by 18 months of age
- not joining two words together by 2 years of age
- hard to understand by 3 years of age
- stuttering
- using a nasal, loud or hoarse voice.
- assessment
- individual and group therapy programs
- home practice ideas and support for parents
- secondary consultation (to kinder and school teachers, doctors, maternal and child health nurses)
- individualised programs for kindergartens with School Readiness funding
What to expect
We want to try to get to know your child as well as you do. At the first appointment we will:
- Talk with you about what your child is good at and your concerns about your child’s development, whilst your child plays
- Assess your child’s skills (through play and activities)
- Work with you to develop a plan.
