Youth Support
Our Youth and Community Workers support young people aged 12-25 years to identify their needs and goals for achieving healthy wellbeing and connection.
Youth Support
Our Youth and Community Workers offer a free, safe and supportive space for young people aged 12-25 to talk about and address their physical, mental, and social health and wellbeing needs. We are able to meet young people face to face at our wulempuri barring health centre in East Reservoir, the Darebin Youth Hub @ Northland, their school, or at a public location they are comfortable in.
We can support young people with:
- Their wellbeing including information and referrals for mental, physical and sexual health
- Gaining independence, including support and referrals to gain housing, a drivers license, Medicare card, Centrelink, writing a resume, etc.
- Building social connections and community engagement
- Advocacy, including writing support letters, linking you with legal services, developing confidence and self-advocacy skills
- Empowerment to navigate health and wellbeing services confidently.
Our service is free for all young people aged 12-25 who live, work or play in the City of Darebin.
There is no need to have a healthcare card or Medicare card.
