Climate change is no longer a distant concern; it is here, already shaping the health and wellbeing of communities across Victoria. For Your Community Health, tackling climate change is inseparable from promoting public health and social equity.

To help inform the next Victorian Climate Change Strategy, Your Community Health has outlined why community-led climate action, sustainable policy changes, and a focus on health equity are essential to protecting our future.

“Climate change has caused massive displacement in my home country. The poor economic situation is influenced by climate change. People’s life expectancy is much shorter. There’s so much stress, anxiety and prolonged trauma for people. I often feel a sense of hopelessness, and anger at the situation.”
