Gambler’s Help services are available at our Northcote health centre.
Gambler’s Help is a free and confidential gambling service that offers a range of specialised counselling services to people with a gambling concern as well as their partners and close family members across Victoria.
It delivers services and activities that minimise the individual, personal, health, social and financial harms that arise from gambling and improve individual and community capacity to reduce gambling related harm.
The Gambler’s Help services offered at our Northcote health centre by Banyule Community Health include:
- Counselling: qualified therapeutic counsellors are available to help individuals, partners, family members and affected others control and deal with harmful gambling. Appointments are available in person at our centres or on the phone.
- Financial counselling: provides support for individuals and families who are experiencing financial difficulties caused by their own, or family member’s gambling. We can help you make a plan to overcome financial burden and refer you to other practical support services if needed.
