Telehealth

We are using Telehealth to ensure you still get access to high quality, timely services and support during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Telehealth is when we use video via a computer or smart phone to have your health care appointment. It means you can still see your healthcare worker, but both of you are protected from unnecessary contact. We are using Telehealth via HealthDirect.

Our staff are still seeing clients in person if it is essential. If you need further treatment that requires meeting in person, this will be arranged following your Telehealth appointment.

This is a simple process. You do not have to download any apps. You simply access by clicking on the appropriate link below.

How to use Telehealth

You will be notified by a Your Community Health member of your Telehealth appointment date and time when booking. A few minutes before your appointment is due to start, join the appointment online by clicking on the relevant link. When booking you will be told which link to use, based on service being provided.

For Medical Clinic appointments – Join your Telehealth appointment here.

For Oral Health appointments– Join your Telehealth appointment here.

For Allied Health appointments (Counselling, Dietetics, Diabetes Education, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Speech Pathology) – Join your Telehealth appointment here.

To enter the waiting area just click on the link.

You will be asked to consent to using the Healthdirect system and then asked to provide your name and mobile number as confirmation. Our usual privacy standards apply to Telehealth consultations. We will not share your information without your consent. The consultation will not be recorded or photographed. Your clinician will check at the start of the call that you understand this.

You do not have to participate and you can stop the call at any time.

Please ask them any questions you may have.

Preparing for your Telehealth appointment

For these appointments we ask that:

  •  You have access to reliable internet
  •  You have a private space
  • Your device is charged or plugged in for the duration of your consultation
